Verse of the Day: Has the Arm of the LORD been Shortened?

And the LORD said to Moses, “Has the LORD’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.”
(Numbers 11:23)

In that verse above, the LORD told Moses He would give meat to the Israelites for one whole month.
Moses, on the other hand, doubted His Word.
There were 600 thousand men (not including women and children) with him in the midst of wilderness.

In the wilderness? Where would Moses find enough sheep or fish to feed them all?
It was already extremely difficult to find water, let alone to find animals for slaughter.

One whole month? It would already be an enormous miracle to feed them all for one day.
One whole month? That would require 30 consecutive enormous miracles.
That would be a grand-grand-grand-miracle.

How often are we like Moses, doubting God’s promise.
Does the LORD require visible mean to carry out His invisible promise?
Is His omnipotence dependent on human’s weakness?
Why would the Creator of the universe cancel His promise just because of human’s limitation?

So, let each one of us answer this question for ourselves as we are closing the day.
” Has the LORD’s arm been shortened in our life?”
