Unreasonable Boss?

“If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss.”
-Bill Gates-

A thought inspired by NLT Life Application Study Bible.
(Do get one from The Ink Room, ok?)

What would you do if your boss were to demand unreasonable thing from you?
Maybe it is one work after another. Just when you are about to finish one big project, he/she asks you to do start even bigger project.
Or, maybe he/she asks you to do something even beyond imagination.. and gives only short time to accomplish it.

Will you sulk? Complain? Gossip? Or, even resign?

King Nebuchadnezzar once asked all his sorcerers to tell him his dream and its interpretation. They, however, attempted a bargain with him: tell them the dream and they would give the interpretation. The king insisted on his demand. Despite repeated attempt to bargain, the king still insisted. “No one on earth can fulfill such a request except the gods,” they said. “Stop complaining. If you don’t do that, I will kill you all,” the king decreed.

King Nebuchadnezzar was really a tough and unreasonable boss! He was a dictator too for ordering such a punishment!

Indeed, even Daniel was initially surprised by such an impossible demand.
He then prayed and God gave him the answer.

Christians maybe working for an earthly boss.
But in reality, the earthly boss is just a representative of God, the Boss of bosses.
When the earthly boss makes unreasonable demand, Christians can always make an appeal to the big Boss who will then intervene.

Yeah, Christians might try to bargain with their boss.
However, even when the boss insists, the must never gossip about their boss.
Keep believing and praying. God will make a way.
