Indeed, normally minutes of meeting should capture all the key decisions during a meeting.
However, for CHC, this wasn’t the case.
Their practice was to record decision which might not take place during the meeting itself.
Perhaps, that’s the reason for backdating of minutes of meeting.
Actually, I can understand where they came from.
In the case whereby church moved fast and circumstance kept changing, the board members might have needed to meet every now and then to make urgent decision. However, if the board members were not always free to attend the meeting, the solution is indeed like what CHC practiced before: to take decisions on the go and inform each other, not in a formal meeting room.
All the best, Pastor Tan!

Fantastic dinner at Aston last Saturday!
The whole table was full of meat after meat.
Well, my friends craved for meat, not me
As usual, guess which one is my meal?

A member shared this cake.
Very sweet treat ~~~
Thanks, Jin Min!

A member returned home from Korea.
She shared Korean brownies and some bookmark.
Thanks a lot, Sarah!
Have not watched Bleach anime at all. Only follow its Manga.
Some of the soundtracks are nice. Some are not nice.
So, here are the ones I think are nice.
Enjoy!

As I read all these lines, I could clearly hear Pastor Tan’s voice in my mind when he answered questions.
Cool, calm, collected.
Jiayou, Pastor Tan!

Unfortunate. Really unfortunate.
Because of this whole trial, the investment effort went wasted (although the church did not lose any money) and the global mission of CHC stopped.
Who is to blame?
Definitely it is the devil’s work. Christians fight not against human being. We fight against principalities and powers in the air.
Not sure how he did it, though.
As a comparison, God never told Job he had suffered due to devil’s work. He simply told Job He was in control of the universe.
Probably, the most important thing for CHC leaders now is to have a faith like Job’s faith.

My third consecutive week having dinner at Food Republic.
Well, I do not mind with that at all as long as I can find healthy food.
So, guess which one was my dinner?

A friend apparently photobombed my photo even though I had said, “Hands off.”
Maybe I should upload this photo on FB then tag him/her?
Some time back, I posted regarding the determination to fight sickness.
Praise the LORD! I have recovered from that fever.
Perhaps it is clearer if I describe the timeline.
Wednesday 11-March
– The start of fever. I refused to take any medicine as I considered it normal fever.
Thursday 12-March
– Body temperature really went up. Felt so sleepy in office times and again. Didn’t dare to take leave as work piled up.
Took Panadol at night (which could be the wrong medicine). Prayed and confessed my healing.
Friday 13-March
– In the morning my body temperature was normal so I could work normally.
However, in the afternoon, my body temperature went up again.
Felt sleepy in the lab.
Then at night I did gua sha to myself. Still prayed and confessed my healing
Saturday 14-March
– Same cycle. Normal body temperature in the morning but high temperature in the afternoon.
Worse. I had red spots all over the body.
Attended church service in which Pastor Kong preached about the work of Christ on the cross.
He healed our sicknesses and cleansed us from sin.
Pastor Kong then prayed for healing for the members.
Still had fever on Saturday night.
However, I prayed and confessed my healing. In addition, I made the determination to recover (which is represented by that Naruto image)
Sunday 15-March
– Woke up with weak body. Yet, I was determined to recover.
Then gradually I regained my strength.
Then the LORD allowed something unique to happen: I thought I was late to give tuition. So, I ran from house to the bus stop.
Due to the running, I perspired a lot. All of sudden my body temperature returned to normal because of the perspiration.
It has stayed normal until now :)
I kept praying for my complete healing
Wednesday 18-March
– Red spots disappeared
I have written my testimony to church. Truly the LORD is our Healer! :D

Glad to hear from Pastor Tan about the origin of Xtron bonds.
Not easy to run a big church for a big church like CHC.
It was urgent for the leaders to find a new property. Unfortunately, the building fund was not enough.
So, Xtron bond is the solution. It accomplishes both investment and mission purpose of the church.
Perhaps one reason not to tell members much about the Crossover is because Xtron has to be distanced from the church.
Otherwise, Xtron would have had a hard time acquiring property for the church.
All the best, Pastor Tan!

A lot of points by the defense counsel.
But perhaps the most striking point is this: there is no victim.
None of the prosecution witnesses even alleged that the church has been cheated.
Pastor Tan was charged with Criminal Breach of Trust (CBT).
However, since there is no victim (not even a single complainant), is that even CBT to begin with?
Had a great CG meeting last Thursday.
First, we celebrated another member’s birthday.

Happy birthday, Daniel! May all your wish come to pass!

Then, we had refreshment: Penang biscuits. Really yummy!
Since we could not finish the biscuits, one box went to Pastor and another box went to me.
Thanks a lot, Abby!
Do look forward to the amazing CG sermon notes, ok?
