And so, the oral submission of the court case started.
According to a reliable source, the defense and prosecution interviewed the witnesses like an experiment.
Each came up with a hypothesis then conducted experiment based on the available evidences.
It is then a matter whether the judge has already made up his mind.

I have absolute confidence six of them will be acquitted fully!

When Bad Things Happen in The Midst of Following God

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
Matt 16:24 (NKJV)

A cross.
What does it come to our mind when we hear the word “cross”?
Is it just an accessory for a Christian?

Pastor Tan Ye Peng once said in one of his sermons,
“Cross is the symbol of death. We should not make fun of the cross just like we do not make fun of 9/11.”

Indeed. When we follow Lord Jesus, we need to be willing to even martyr for Him.
After all, He first died for us.
So, it is fair if we then give our lives to Him.

Remember the tragedy of Air Asia QZ8501?
Many of the passengers were the members of Mawar Sharon Church (translated Rose of Sharon) in Surabaya.
Pastor Philip Mantofa, the pastor of the church, once said,
“Here in Indonesia, Jesus isn’t only to live for; He is to die for! I will follow Him no matter what, and others will follow me as I follow Christ. Finally, as His love is unconditional to us, so our faith should be unconditional to Him. The Lord gives, the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord!” (emphasis added).

Certain event happened in the past which cost me a large sum of money.
At first I did not understand why happened: why did the LORD allow such a bad thing?
After all, I could have given a portion of the lost money to church.
Don’t you agree it makes more sense to give money to church than to lose it unnecessarily?

But now, I guess there is no need for such a question.
After all, the LORD did allow it. Essentially, it is the same as God taking away my money using that event.
But hey, I have already committed to even die for God.
So, to be consistent, I should not complain, protest, whine or grumble when He takes away my finance.

Not sure what bad thing will happen in the future.
When it does, I need to remind myself that I am already ‘dead’ for God.

As a final note, I still believe God will bless my finance.
However, even if He does not, it is fine with me.
If I am even willing to die for Him, shouldn’t I be willing to let go of my finance too?
