Bishop Dale C. Bronner’s Sermon 25, June, 2016 Living the Dream!

Genesis 37:9
Stars, moons and sun. They are the source of light.
God Himself is light. Lord Jesus is the light of the world.
Stars, moon and sun bow low before us.
God makes sure we have enough light so we can take the next step courageously.

We catch, carry and convey the dream we receive from God.
We should not immediately convey the dream. We should marinate it in our spirit first.

Catch. Carry. Convey.
We cannot birth overnight what we catch. It comes over time.

What we catch depends on our capacity.
We can always increase our capacity to solve problem.
If we are level 1 people, we will have difficulty facing level 3 problem.
Once we become level 4, we can easily solve level 3 problem.

Growth mindset = believes you can improve with effort.

Dreams pre-play the future. Memories replay our past.
We need dreams and dreamers.
Money follows vision.
We don’t get what we believe for. We get what we prepare for.
We need just one God-given idea. We also need to be able to tell the idea well.

Dreams are the substance of all great achievement.
We are the solutions to problems.
God sends a person to solve every problem. He does not look for system or method to solve a problem.
God’s answer = right person at the right time at the right place doing the right thing.

Matt 14:27-29
The stuff that is really meaningful to life is beyond the comfort zone.
Don’t just go out without God’s word.
We need to get God’s word first before we move out of comfort zone.

The faith to step out is worthless without the faithfulness to stick it out.
It is not just starting a matter, it is about finishing the matter.

Hope is the blueprint, faith is the building material.
Don’t let the devil steal the blueprint of hope. Hope is the big picture of the dream God has given.

Dream no small dream for God. Three levels of dreamer:
1. Those who wish for it.
2. Those who wait for it.
3. Those who work for it.

When in the Bible did God ever call anybody to do something that was easy?
Lord Jesus called the dead Lazarus to come forth.
In these days, God still calls us to do something difficult as He wants to script Himself in our lives.

God is the Author and the Finisher.
When God authors something in our lives, God will finish it.
Even when it looks unfinished, we must hold on to our hope.

God told Abraham to look up at the stars and to look down in the grain.
He confirmed the promise in heaven and on earth.

Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.
We show what we are waiting for by showing what we are working on.

Dream requires risk. Risk requires faith. Faith requires the word. The word requires undivided attention.
As we dream for God, the clearer your dream, the greater the faith.
We must dream in living vivid color.
Imagine the details of the dream.

If we have never experienced disappointment or hurt or betrayed, we would not have anything to share with others.
Even after we are broken, we must not stop reaching out to our dream.

Bishop Dale C. Bronner’s Sermon 24, June, 2016 Anger and Money

God is not looking for perfect man, He is looking for faithful man.
Faithful man is always faithful to repent every time he misses the mark.

Faithful is remaining committed even when the emotion dissipates.
Woman was taken out of man. Man is the foundation of the society.

Proverb 23:7
The righteous man who walks in his integrity, blessed are his children.
I am blessed today because of my father’s integrity.

Job 14:13-14
Trials of Job lasted for 9 months. Job lost his wealth, health and children.
He was left with a nagging wife.

Job felt like he was being judged by God.
However, in truth, difficulty rains upon the righteous and the unrighteous alike.
Just because we are blessed and favored, it does not mean we are exempted from problems.

Job lost almost all.
Sometimes, God allows us to lose it all so we can find the real stuff.

How are you? I am fine. What does ‘fine’ mean?
FINE = Frustrated, Insecure, Neurotic, Emotionally Unstable

Many times we follow God and obey Him because we want things to go our way.
However, if things go our way, it means we are walking in the same direction as the devil.
Just like aeroplane, it has to go against the wind in order to fly.
God allows opposition in our lives so we can fly higher.

Job was angry. It is alright to be angry as long as we do not sin.
There is righteous indignation. It is ok o be angry when we see the devil messing up with our family.

Frustration = deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems or unfulfilled needs..
Frustration = frustrare = to deceive.
Frustration happens when we are deceived by the circumstance.
If we believe in frustration, it will be self-fulfilling prophecy.

Imagine we drive and there is insect flying into the car.
Instead of focusing on the road, we start fending off the insect.
What is happening here? The insect distracts us from the road.
We are frustrated by the insect, risking our lives.

Angry man is a non-thinking man.
Frustration stops a man from thinking.
The devil often sends frustration to prevent man from thinking.
We must respond out of thinking, not react out of emotion.

Frustration is simply caused whenever the results you are experiencing do not seem to fit the amount of effort you put in.
The devil send little things to frustrate us. They are the little foxes that spoil the vines.

Women are more near-sighted than men. Men are designed to see the big picture.
Hence, when a friend tells a man a problem, the man can immediately see the problem and the solution.

God never gives a person a challenge he cannot handle with God’s help.
We all experience frustration to some degree. To name a few:

1. Not having sufficient money to do what you think you need to do
2. Having something of value to offer someone who has no appetite for what you have.
3. Not being able to control the reactions/responses of other people that you are connected to.
4. The sense we are running out of time to do what we want/need to do.
5. Having an assignment but not having clarity as to how to get it done.
God often asks us to do something beyond our mean and finance.
We are often frustrated with God’s assignment until we activate God’s factor.
6. Not having sufficient health/energy to do what you have in your heart to do.
7. Not being organized in your thoughts- unable to express yourself.
Man tends to express anger through action as there is hardly words to express anger.
8. Trying your hardest to make things happen yet doors remain closed.
9. Not being able to gain access to the person you love or from whom you desire helps.
10. Not being able to resolve conflict.
11. Operating in a job that you are not designed for.
12. Having circumstance beyond your control.
We are responsible for controlling ourselves.
13. Having to submit to controls that you do not understand or agree with.
14. Watching someone you care about live beneath their potential.
15. Having things happen for which we have no explanation.
Sometimes we suffer from no apparent reason. We may ask God ‘why did You let this happen?’
We may want to know what we do wrong for the suffering.
Yet, Lord Jesus suffered the cross even when He did no wrong.
16. Not really liking where you are but being afraid to leave.
17. Not knowing your purpose.
We need to know the reason we were born. Hell = purposelessness.
Purposeless people create hell for others around them.

Whenever you are frustrated, S-T-O-P

S-it Down         Calm down
T-hink               Only process one thought at a time. Frustration is temporary.
O-bserve          Look at the situation.
P-lan                Wisdom births a strategy. Dream does not come to pass due to lack of plan.

Habit of wealthy people:
– They live well below their means
– They allocate money efficiently
– Parents did not provide outpatient care
– Adult children are economically self-sufficient
– Financially independent is more important than high social standing status

5 residual streams of income:

– Salary or wages
– Investment
– Business
– Real estate
– Royalties

Poor people only have 1 stream of income. Wealthy people have at least 3 streams.

Preparation Before Building

Prepare your outside work,
Make it fit for yourself in the field;
And afterward build your house.
– Proverb 24: 27 (NKJV) –

Two extremes.
First, a man who builds the house without ever preparing the field.
Second, a man who prepares the field without ever building the house.

In the context of marriage.
Some people do not have enough finance (the field) to get married (the house).
Yet, they proceed ahead and marry.
Such marriage will surely experience much difficulty.
On the other hand, some people have enough finance.
Yet, they are too focused on their career that they do not invest much time to find the life partner.

Balance is the key here.
Career and marriage are both important.
While career does come first (God gave Adam a job to do), one should still invest time for the marriage (God gave Adam Eve).

This cannot be generalized, though, as some people indeed have the gift of celibacy.

Somehow, God gave me a certain mission.
That’s my field.
Gotta really be serious in tending this particular field.

Pastor Kong’s Sermon 18, June, 2016 A Loving Father Like God

For thousands of years, people called God as “Adonai”, “Elohim”.
However, Lord Jesus introduced God as our Heavenly Father.

John 17:25-26
Lord Jesus came from the bosom of the Heavenly Father to bring us back to God’s bosom.
Lord Jesus calls Him “Abba” or “Daddy”. Abba Father longs for intimacy with us.
Without this revelation, we will have distance relationship with God.

Tragedies that we face in life seems to suggest that God is cold or unconcerned with us.

God has given us the freedom of choice.
Without this freedom, we will just be robots before Him.
With freedom, people can choose to do good or evil.

God treasured this freedom. He did not prevent us from making the wrong decisions.

We often have this idea that God is distant or unpleaseable.
Perhaps we have this idea as we have a distant or harsh earthly father.
Many times we project this picture to the Heavenly Father.
However, this is far from truth.

Lord Jesus showed us the Heavenly Father who  treasures us and heals us.
God maybe angry with the evil. However, God is not angry with us His children.

Ephesians 3:17-19
We need to have the revelation of the width and length of God’s love.
We need to be grounded in His love.

1. Width of Father’s Love (Compassion)

God is not narrow minded. He welcomes and accepts us.
Exodus 34:6-7
He is merciful and gracious.
For all our sin, we deserve bad stuffs. Yet, He forgives us.
He won’t judge unless He really really really has to judge us.
When God is angry, He may punish until the third or the fourth generation.
Yet, He is merciful upon thousands.

2. Length of Father’s Love (Faithfulness)

God’s love has no limit
Jeremiah 31:3
No matter what we have said or done, God always loves us.
In fact, even before the foundation of the world, He had us in His mind and called us.

When God starts the calling, He will never quit half way.
2 Tim 2:13
God carries out His promises to us.

Children look up to fathers for protection and guidance.
They are willing to follow a father’ authority.
Even when children have higher IQ, a father must still be the leader.

3. Height of Father’s Love (Abundant Provision)

God will never stop doing good for His people.
Matt 6:31-32
God supplies our needs and we worship Him.
James 1:17
We put trust in God. He will give us good and perfect gifts.

God supplies our needs abundantly.
John 2:5
When God creates miracle, He does it abundantly. The wine supply was much more than enough.
John 16:23
A father gives his best to his children.

4. Depth of Father’s Love (Affection)

When Lazarus died, Jesus wept
John 11:35
Lord Jesus knew He would resurrect Lazarus. Yet, He still cried.
Why did He cry? He wanted to a part their sorrow.
Jesus cries when we cry. He laughs when we laugh.

Isaiah 49:16. Zechariah 2:8
If dads have good relationship with children, children will compare God with dads.
For daughters, when they choose a life partner, they will compare him against their dads.

How to express love?
Words. either verbally or via text.
Time. Quality time with family. We work but not overwork
Hugs. Babies are meant to enjoy hugs from dads.

Exo 20:12
This is the only commandment which comes with a promise: we will live long and strong.

Supersteam Bubble Bump 18, June, 2016

A sport event by the company last Saturday!!
Bubble Bump! Where everyone was wrapped around in giant air doughnut which was about 4 kg heavy.

P6180125P6180123

We were all then divided into 8 teams. I was in team 3.
So first, we played… soccer!!!

P6180127P6180126

Well, it was pretty difficult to move around to catch the ball.
But of course, the best part was when we really bumped into each other.
I did back flip countless times as my colleagues really knocked me down.

P6180128

Next, standing inside the hula hoop as long as possible by knocking other players.
I feel bad to have to bump some female colleagues.
Luckily, no one was injured.

Award  giving ceremony! Congratulations to my colleagues!!
