CHC Trial 18, August, 2014 (Day 58-Day 11 Tranche 5)

Well, the title says it all.
Really unusual for a fellow defendant to question things unrelated to the charges.
The defense lawyers did their best in objecting Eng Han’s show of new evidence.
And finally the judge stopped Eng Han too.

On one side, one may wonder if there is any gain for Eng Han to do so.
On the other side, one may thank Eng Han for asking such questions as they would way further Pastor Kong’s integrity: multi-purpose account, money from CHCKL and others since they were not addressed in the previous tranches (similar reasoning that because his brothers had sold him, Joseph eventually became prime minister of Egypt—- I think Joseph should thank his brothers too Smile with tongue out Smile with tongue out Smile with tongue out Smile with tongue out).

Hehehe, go go go, Pastor Kong! Please rock the court hall!!

CHC Trial 15, August, 2014 (Day 57-Day 10 Tranche 5)

Summary of this week’s proceeding~~

Hmm, one of the allegations in 2003 back then:
The church’s building fund was used for the publicity and promotional campaign for Sun Ho’s album.
Well, technically this statement was wrong.
The church supported Sun from the general fund, not from building fund.
But anyway, thank God for sending Wahju Hanafi to cover up the expenses Smile Smile Smile

Hmm, talking about discreet or indiscreet funding, Pastor Kong mentioned
“between 2003 and 2006, members were giving donations to Xtron to support the Crossover.”
Well, I guess, since the church is too big, some members know about Xtron and Crossover, some do not.
It must be difficult to manage CHC. Hmm.

The church supported Crossover via bond, not directly fund it.
Had the church funded it directly, the church would have had to bear all the loss when the project failed.

Really, this is a brilliant idea!
But of course, this also signifies Wahju as a man of his word when he bore all the loss.
May God prosper him more than what he lost!!

Can’t wait for Pastor Kong to tell more of his story.
Let his integrity be revealed!

CHC Trial 14, August, 2014 (Day 56-Day 9 Tranche 5)

Xtron bond.
Unfortunate. Really unfortunate.
The investment throughout the years was completely wasted.
The chance to gain profit was canceled when the investigation began.
But never mind with that. If it is just money, the LORD can always bless us back abundantly.
Especially Wahju Hanafi who kept his word, the LORD will surely prosper him.

Firna bond.
It does not seem to me it was a round tripping.
It was really a legitimate church need, not simply moving the money around to fool the auditors.

Anyway, I heard the court ended early, at 4.30 pm.
There was an interesting reason for that. However, perhaps I should not say it here Smile with tongue out Smile with tongue out Smile with tongue out
On Friday, others will start cross examining Pastor Kong.
It will be another day for him to rock the court hall Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile

CHC Trial 13, August, 2014 (Day 55-Day 8 Tranche 5)-Possible Authorization Story

Wonderful! Simply wonderful!
Pastor Kong explained emails after emails, documents after documents.
Prosecution said the leaders had hidden things from auditors.
It turned it was wasn’t true: the leaders really showed everything to the auditor (Foong Daw Ching) and the lawyer (Jimmy Yim).
In addition, even though Xtron made loss, they came up with a plan to ensure the church did not suffer loss.
It is building fund money, after all.

It is getting more and more exciting as Pastor Kong’s integrity getting revealed day by day!

Hmm, previously the defense mentioned the use of money was not unauthorized.
Now, looking back at all the links, I think I understand this reasoning. Perhaps it is something as follows:

1.) Way back then, The executive members were aware building fund could be used for investment, especially in Xtron.
It wasn’t simply meant to sit idly in the bank, earning small interest while getting eaten up by inflation.
– The executive members knew about building fund investment.
– Xtron promised 7% interest even while making loss, way higher than bank interest

2.) Xtron was known to manage Sun Ho. It was not hidden.
Since, simply speaking, Sun’s career is none other than Crossover Project itself, it follows that Xtron managed Crossover Project too
(in reality, CHC plays a part in managing Crossover Project too since it is a common goal between Xtron and church)
– Xtron label was printed on Sun’s album.
– Sun publicly thanked Xtron, her management company.

3.) Combining point 1 and point 2, since Executive Members were aware of Xtron bond and Xtron was known to manage Sun’s career/Crossover Project, it follows that Executive Members should have been aware that building fund went to Crossover Project even before the investigation started.
”Should have been aware” because I read somewhere some Executive Members claimed they had not approved building fund going to Crossover Project.

Well, assuming these 3 points of reasoning are really correct, hopefully the judge will declare the leaders innocent!! Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile

CHC Trial 12, August, 2014 (Day 54-Day 7 Tranche 5)

Yeeeessshhh!! Pastor Kong addressed one major point by prosecutor!
Prosecutor said the investment was sham.
However, looking at these details, it is clear the investment was not sham. It was a careful planning and budgeting.
I really think it is a good idea to invest building fund into Xtron bond.
It was to achieve 2 goals at the same time.
I believe Pastor Kong will address more and more prosecutor’ points in the coming days.

So the rumor I heard is true: Pastor Kong really preached in the court room!!~~~

4 points highlighted by MP Edwin Tong.

– Crossover Project was a legitimate church purpose.
– There was no wrongful gain by any individual.
– The church suffered no financial loss.
– Neither the church nor the members have complained.

Well, that last point is especially interesting.
It is not clear who actually wrote the First Information Report (FIR).
In addition, the prosecution argued the identity of the person behind FIR is protected by law.
So, effectively…. there is no complaint so far!! Hehehehe.

CHC Trial 11, August, 2014 (Day 53-Day 6 Tranche 5)

Pastor Kong took the witness stand for the very first time.
My friends and I sent two ‘spies’ to queue and then enter into the court room.
They really queued at 4.30 am!!!
From inside the court room, they gave us live update on the conversation inside.
Ah well, in the morning they were still ok. In the afternoon, the spies fell asleep!! Smile with tongue out

Jiayou, Pastor Kong! I will keep you in prayer.
Let the truth be revealed.
Let your integrity be revealed!

CHC Trial 8, August, 2014 (Day 52-Day 5 Tranche 5)

That’s the defense lawyer for you!
Senior Counsel Kenneth Tan was able to address the prosecution’s point by point.
I guess it was not so tough day for John Lam Winking smile
Hmm, so the spreadsheet with Wahju Hanafi as creditor was explained. Well, my proposed scenario is wrong Smile with tongue out
If we see the photos in City News, John Lam always smiled.
I really think God’s peace was with him Open-mouthed smile
Enjoy your weekend, brother John!!!
Hmm, dear Judge See Kee Oon, please acquit John Lam, ok? ^___________^
